Director / Senior Director – Clinical Development, Rheumatology

Remote | United States or Canada | Full-Time | Up to ~25% Travel

Summary

A hands-on Medical Monitoring opportunity within a leading global life sciences organisation supporting late-phase Rheumatology and Immunology clinical programs .

This hire will provide medical leadership across active studies, with responsibility for subject safety, medical oversight, clinical data review, investigator support, and study delivery .

The position offers the opportunity to work closely with sponsors, investigators and cross-functional teams across important autoimmune indications including Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Systemic Sclerosis / Scleroderma and Sjögren’s Syndrome .

Ideal background:

\n
• MD/DO with formal Rheumatology training
\n
• Board certification preferred; internationally trained Rheumatologists can also be considered
\n
• Strong understanding of Rheumatology clinical research and industry-sponsored drug development
\n
• Ideally 2+ years of hands-on Medical Monitoring / Clinical Development experience within pharma, biotech or CRO
\n
• Alternatively, experienced Rheumatology PIs / Clinical Investigators with substantial pharmaceutical-sponsored Phase II/III trial experience can be considered
\n
• Strong exposure to autoimmune indications, ideally including: SLE / Lupus Nephritis, Sjögren’s Syndrome, Systemic Sclerosis / Scleroderma, Rheumatoid Arthritis
\n
• Experience with Phase II / III clinical trials
\n
• Comfortable operating in a hands-on, delivery-focused Medical Monitoring environment
\n

What You’ll Do

\n
• Serve as Medical Monitor for assigned Rheumatology / Immunology clinical studies
\n
• Provide medical oversight relating to subject eligibility, safety, protocol interpretation and study conduct
\n
• Review clinical and safety data, including AEs/SAEs, laboratory abnormalities, protocol deviations and emerging safety trends
\n
• Act as a medical point of contact for sponsors, investigators, sites and internal study teams
\n
• Provide medical input into protocols, amendments, Medical Monitoring Plans and study materials
\n
• Support study start-up, feasibility, investigator engagement and ongoing trial execution
\n

Compensation

\n
• Base salary: Up to $315,000 USD
\n
• Bonus: 30%
\n
• Full benefits package
\n
• Final level and compensation to be determined based on experience, scope, and overall fit
