Founded in 2006, Pink Rose Clothing is a leading wholesale fashion company with offices in the heart of the Fashion District. We design and distribute women's, juniors', children's, and accessories collections under our family of brands, including Pink Rose, Olive & Oak, Pink Republic, and Hippie Rose. Our products are sold through many of the nation's leading retailers, including TJ Maxx, Macy's, Kohl's, JCPenney, Belk, Stitch Fix, and Walmart.

Our collections feature trend-driven tops, dresses, outerwear, loungewear, sleepwear, and bottoms, combining quality, comfort, and style. Through a culture of creativity, collaboration, and innovation, we strive to deliver fresh fashion that resonates with today's consumer.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Garment Designer for our Sleepwear division to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is a creative self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills, extensive experience in the fashion industry, particularly in junior apparel and the ability to collaborate effectively across design, production, merchandising, and sales teams. We are looking for someone with experience and knowledge of licensed apparel development processes and licensing guidelines.

Garment Designer- Sleepwear

Key Responsibilities:

\n
• Collaborate closely with Sales and Buyers to align designs with market trends.
\n
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and work effectively as a team player.
\n
• Conceptualize and design garments in line with current trends, specifically for the Junior brand.
\n
• Create initial CAD sketches for presentation to Sales and Buyers.
\n
• Conduct sample shopping, both in person and online, from European and domestic markets to identify emerging trends.
\n
• Present and merchandise print, color, silhouette, fabrication, and trend ideas for upcoming seasons.
\n
• Coordinate with costing teams to create recap charts for customer projects.
\n
• Organize original and proto-sample charts, and manage showroom displays.
\n
• Review and provide feedback on proto sample layouts and lab dips.
\n
• Maintain strong communication with Buyers, Sales, and Factories.
\n
• Develop tech packs, including proto specs, detail pages, and BOM follow-up.
\n
• Participate in fittings with Technical Design and Production teams to ensure proper garment fit.
\n
• Review spec measurements and provide fitting adjustment recommendations.
\n
• Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing deadlines.
\n
• Strong knowledge of Cut & Sew Knits in various fabrications.
\n

Requirements:

\n
• 3+ years of design experience in the fashion industry.
\n
• Experience and knowledge of licensed apparel development processes and licensing guidelines.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal skills supporting a team environment
\n
• Excellent English communication-verbal and written
\n
• Excellent time management/ project skills
\n
• Ability to recognize and react to changing work demands
\n
• Strong planning and organizational skills with a sense of priority for deadlines and attention to detail
\n
• Comfortable and confident in making effective decisions in a timely manner
\n
• Goal orientated: ability to stay focused on creating winning results
\n
• Computer proficiency in MS Office: Outlook, Excel, Word
\n
• Ability to demonstrate proactive problems solving skills
\n
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Illustrator, and Outlook.
\n
• Experience with Walmart or Kohl’s is a plus.
