⚡ Role: OTC Power Trader / Portfolio Manager

Location: NY/NJ

Compensation: $200-400k Base & 15% Book // (Sign-Ons Offered)

Position Overview

This is an opportunity to join a Hedge Fund with Billions in AUM , industry-leading technology, and a proven track record of rewarding performance . The firm is seeking an experienced OTC Power Trader to develop and manage proprietary positions across North American power markets.

The role will focus on identifying and executing opportunities across power, basis, congestion, and related energy products , while working alongside a highly collaborative team of traders, developers, and quantitative researchers.

Responsibilities

• Trade and manage proprietary positions across North American OTC power markets
\n
• Develop and execute directional, spread, and basis trading strategies
\n
• Analyze power market fundamentals including weather, load, generation, fuel, and transmission dynamics
\n
• Identify new trading opportunities and expand existing strategies
\n
• Manage portfolio risk and position exposures
\n
• Collaborate closely with quantitative, development, and research teams to enhance trading performance
\n

Qualifications

\n
• 2+ years of experience trading OTC power markets or related energy products
\n
• Demonstrated profitability and risk management experience
\n
• Strong knowledge of one or more North American ISO/RTO markets
\n
• Experience trading power, basis, congestion, gas, or related energy products
\n
• Strong analytical and quantitative skillset
\n
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial trading environment
\n
